Development of ICT in the educational process has brought a lot of positives. However, the negative financial situation in education brings with it the need to seek new learning opportunities, respectively need to seek to provide knowledge and skills by new form that would be relative inexpensive. In this paper, we focus on the possibility of using special modules LMS Moodle for support and development of intellectual abilities of students. Since the year 2009 the Department of Informatics (Faculty of Natural Sciences, Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, Slovakia) aims to develop modules of 3 sides to facilitate learners in the studio easier to absorb discussed topic (study material). One of the modules which has been conditioned and successfully implemented in the educational process is module LogicSimMoodle. The module was originally programmed (by A. Tetzle, original name LogicSim) as a Java applet, but due to its simplicity and mass spread, decided we to modify this module for the possibility of its implementation in virtual learning environment - LMS Moodle. In this paper we describe verification of this module by using implementation through evaluation of the results of students from the viewpoint of learning efficiency. This module students actively are using from the Academic Year 2010/2011. The aim of the experiment was to compare the effectiveness of teaching and assess the quality of teaching based on the use of that module through a questionnaire and subsequent analysis of variance. Students were divided into 2 groups: control and experimental. In the control group have all students studied classical way. In the experimental group of students was used new module LogocSimMoodle, to the need to develop their ability and skills. | Keywords
