Abstract
At present, the protection of critical infrastructure is a major task incumbent to governments, local leaders, and to other factors. Priority comes from the multiplication of hostile challenges to society and various vital goals, and also from the increase in amplitude of these events. With the support of modern technology, solutions have been identified to increase the protection of critical facilities. The use of essential equipment was accompanied by enhanced training of the personnel involved. With all efforts, the expected finalities are far from being achieved, and further action is necessary to halt evolution of diversified threats and coverage requirements necessary for the securing plan. The great variety of facilities which need protection, the dissipation of efforts and the high costs, require the identification of integrative solutions to optimize protection effort in local, national, European and global area. E-Learning software's strategies and means provide a great support in terms of knowledge and threat analysis, training of personnel involved, the possibility of security analysis, and interventions potentially to be achieved. This assures all the participants easy acces to the course documents and suplimentary data from the virtual database. It also assures good colaboration between lecturers and students by allowing them to take over, basic data from the multiple operational environment. Because reality has a lot of setbackes in allowing the creation of the operational context in the field of securing critical infrastructure, the virtual domain is excellent in simulating complex and integrating exercises in wich all the players can act. The network communications help to instantely put into practice the accepted solutions, the instructions, creation of wide area networks-all of these being possibilities that boost the online education. Virtual Learning Environment is a very useful tool for the increase of training level of multiple samples from various domains, compared to the possible risks and threats of the future. |
