Abstract
Time and money are the main tasks for a successful business. It is important to find adequate solution to change company strategies according to the new challenges imposed by the competition or consumer needs, with efficiency, minimum cost, but in a short time. Adapting process to a new vision must be made by "running", combining old with new, traditional methods with modern one's, in a well-structured and organized manufacturing medium, considering the variety of technology, equipment and labor force. In nowadays, IT applications and software are used in every stage of manufacturing process, always up- grading or changing and from this reason from time to time, the company must organize training stages for personal employees. Peer learning is a reciprocal learning activity, a two way in which ideas, knowledge and experience are shared from a person to another (Boud, 1988). This new strategy does not substitute the role of a teacher in educational process, but is a new variant in this IT environment, when the time is not a "friend". This e-learning strategy is suitable to apply either in academic field (for different level of education, bachelor, master or doctoral studies) or in companies. In this paper we present how is possible to apply this modern strategy in teaching CAD for clothing and footwear design, using a suitable learning style for engineering field (instructional method), by virtual demonstration focused to explain and clarify design stages (from sketch to final product), in an progressive way, according to the needs of the learners or level. |
