This paper provides the causes for the decline in recognition skills in the past, the reasons for visual aircraft recognition today, according to potential threats. Aircraft are as much a part of the battlefield, as Surface Based Air Defense systems, for instance. These aerial vectors add a vertical dimension and their presence must be accepted and dealt with by every military in the field. On today's battlefield, a very good trained soldier have to recognize and identify both threat and friendly aircraft. Since there may be many of each type, aircraft recognition training is necessary for every ground observer in the combat force. The visual aircraft recognition process involves two steps. Primary rely to target identification and after that it’s about looking for typical characteristics or aspects that makes it identifiable. These two steps means that the aircraft it must be identified as far as possible. When inducting aerial resultant identification, the instructor can conply due to the methods and discover his own characteristics and shapes. The typical aspects help to make the distinction between aircrafts. The WEFT technique will illustrate the main characteristics of airplanes. Allied states develop some programs of aircraft recognition and identification and they may learn more or fewer of aircraft characteristics. | Keywords
