Abstract
Every coach has to be one step ahead of the competition so technological support is a must in this attempt. In the last decade, sophisticated analytics of the athletes' objective data has been a constant resource for improving the training process, thanks to advanced technology which has increasingly become a key-factor in pursuing this goal.
The purpose of this study is to use Polar Team Pro data from Academica Clinceni football team, in order to plan the working loads of the players during training sessions, according the their positions and physiological-physical demands, related to the official game requirements.
The parameters recorded during competitional period training sessions were: heart rate-percent of the HR max, the maximal and average speed, the total distance covered in each speed zone and number of sprints.
The subjects belong to the Academica Clinceni football team, playing in League 2, all wearing the Polar Team Pro equipment, including the Polar Team Pro shirt, comprising sensors which transmits individual data to the iPad and the corresponding web service. After each training session, collected data fit into longitudinal reports, which help trainers and coaches to understand the evolution of the team in terms of physiological responses and physical preparation level.
We analysed the data collected during training sessions, in October 2018, within the competitive season. Monitoring the players took place throughout the whole sessions, the data being collected and transmitted to the Polar Pro iPad on the field. The large array of variables recorded gives the possibility to compare and identify the relationships among them, individually and per team, so that precious guidelines can be drawn up and implemented on a regular basis during training sessions. |
