Abstract
The incidence of foot posture changes and the discomfort created by these changes is high, not only among the population but also in the athletes. The foot represents the final segment in the kinematic chain of the lower limb, which resists external forces. Biomechanics of the foot and ankle affects the ability of the lower limb to reduce the forces acting on these elements. The lower extremity must distribute and dissipate compressive forces, traction, shear, and rotation during the walking phase.
Improper distribution of these forces can lead to abnormal movements which, in turn, cause excessive stress and lead to the destruction of connective tissue and muscles. There are many methods that can be used to assess these foot posture changes
and the problems that these changes may generate. In this regard we believe that the assessment and monitoring the foot posture with computer techniques will lead to optimization recovery process the in static disorders of these body segment. This
assessment method of provides reliable, rigorous and objective results. This paper aims to present Presscam - a software with which the foot posture can be assessed by analyzing
some parameters. In order to achieve the proposed goal we monitored with the help of the Presscam software the evolution of the foot posture changes for two subjects, field tennis
practitioners. The data presented show that this method is simple and efficiency, providing data that can be used successfully in the correct approach to the recovery process of the foot posture change.
