The law on Quality Assurance in Education is a document that proposes more subjects of study and reflection. But we, who are involved in the educational process, truly understand how necessary it is to change the perception of the concept of quality in the Roumanian education, especially in relation with European system. Bussines and industry, in particular, the scientific quality concerns have halped shape several stages: quality inspections, statistical control, quality assurance, total quality.Quality assurance is a powerful means of improving the efficiency of education. Its key principle is that the main actors in the front lines of the education system are responsible to improve educational performance. Quality assurance must be an integral part of a system unitary, in which the national education authorities create conditions and provides the necessary support for improvement school performance. Quality and performance are aimed at: the process of identifying and managing the activities necessary to achieve the objectives in the field of quality education, a set of activities aimed at achieving objectives through the optimal use of resources; the set of activities of the general management function that determines the quality policy, objectives and responsibilities within the quality system. Basic principles: comprehensive and fundamental rule or belief for the management and operation of an organization; continuous long-term performance improvement through customer orientation taking into account the needs of all stakeholders. | Keywords
