Walking is a voluntary motor activity that through exercise becomes involuntary, automatic, stereotypical. Walking contributes to the formation of a correct posture for children. Walking consists of permanent imbalances and rebalancing, through which the body adapts to the supporting surface and the environment, constantly maintaining contact with the surface on which the movement is made. In the field of rehabilitation, gait analysis can be used in different stages: for the initial assessment of the degree of the condition and guiding the doctor in his prescription; for monitoring rehabilitation and its impact on the patient; and for the final evaluation the benefit of the treatment is evaluated. Gait analysis is the standard assessment tool used to quantify human locomotion, especially by improving the understanding of kinematic and kinetic parameters while walking. To achieve this goal, smart insoles have been designed, PODOSmart that provides accurate measurements for gait analysis. PODOSmart includes six pairs of inserts connected to a mobile application and easy-to-use software. Capture data during locomotion in real life activities. Each Podosmart insole has an inertial platform that records the movements and orientations of each foot in space. The results of this study show that the PODOSmart gait analysis inserts have clear gait analysis parameters that highlight various deficiencies and imbalances in the lower limbs. | Keywords
