March 2020 has represented a big challenge not only for teachers, but more for students. Moving forward to digital learning, and digital mediated communication and collaboration was the only choice remaining during lockdown crisis and the pandemic. Teachers' associations, researchers and various companies developing tools for assisting digital learning has upgraded quickly to support not only a large number of users accessing specific platforms, but for developing digital resources and identify the best online video meeting applications. Mathematics in secondary education raised important questions and received many answers towards not only remediation methods but also for acceleration of learning. This paper describes the best practices used to offer educational support in mathematics and informatics, during 2021-2022, for students belonging to geographically large distributed schools in three regions of Romania: Center (16k7), North-East (18k8), and South-East (14k7, 19k8), where mKn denotes the number of students (m) per educational level (n). The students have asked support in learning acceleration for performance, solving current projects, remedial activities and recreational mathematics. They highly appreciated problem-solving and Just-in Time teaching approaches. Practical and recreational mathematics proved good motivation to attend. Statistical results show equal interest for k7-students, and highly increased interest for k8-students, when comparing at regional level. | Keywords
