Abstract
The pandemic period affected academic life globally, with many students having to give up the classical form of learning to move to an area little known at that time, online education, but which later became extremely well known, eliminating the fear to stop schools year. If existing LMS systems were used at the beginning of the educational lockdown period, schools and universities quickly adopted video conferencing systems (Google Meet, Microsoft Team, Zoom, Webex, Skype, etc.) which helped a lot in establishing a way to real-time communication between teacher and student. The article aims, based on research conducted between April and May 2020, to identify and measure the impact of factors specific to learning methods such as: quality of teaching materials, quality of teaching methods, participation at scheduled activities and teacher involvement, student-teacher communication on the student's satisfaction and performances in the situation immediately following the change produced at the level of the educational system by the transition from face to face form to online learning. In order to achieve the proposed objective, we conducted research based on a quantitative questionnaire that included an open-ended question, which allowed the respondents to express their opinions on how the university can help in that period. The collected answers were analyzed through specific applications of qualitative and quantitative research. |
