Augmented and virtual reality technologies have known an impressive evolution in the past few years due to their potential to provide immersive experiences. Children are especially fascinated by exploring virtual worlds. As a result, there is a general tendency among young generations to favor activities which embrace these new passions and hobbies: computer games and mobile applications. In order to make school more attractive for students, gamified virtual environments are becoming a common and very powerful tool in the educational arsenal of teachers. Taking into account this mindset shift, we introduce TeachAR - an innovative mobile app concept which aims to stimulate students' interactions through immersive and engaging virtual activities. The mobile application offers a novel approach to the traditional teaching methods by employing the use of latest technologies in order to provide an enhanced, yet authentic learning experience for students. Moreover, it is highly customizable as it enables educators and teachers to easily create new virtual and augmented content for collaborative classrooms. Simply through natural language, they can bring to life theoretical or abstract concepts, specially tailored for the students. Easy to use and extremely versatile, TeachAR intends to increase students' collaboration, ultimately making learning more practical, engaging and fun. | Keywords
