The newest trend in education, known and appreciated as the most effective and desirable so far, is online learning, which has proven its usefulness especially in the pandemic conditions generated by COVID-19. Known as "e-learning" or, more recently, as "e-education", the concept of electronic (or virtual) education is represented by the interaction between the teaching-learning process and modern information technologies. Noting the far greater number of advantages than disadvantages, we can say that the use of e-learning platforms is an opportunity offered to those who wish to obtain further training. It does not exclude classical education, where real objects are used as a source of information but adds virtual resources. A combination of traditional learning and assessment methods and e-learning is indicated to achieve performance in terms of students' competence development. These observations have been proven by the study carried out in the Motivational Management course held in the Faculty of Administration and Public Management at the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest. In conclusion, the period of restrictive measures imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic has produced not only negative effects on the educational process but also positive aspects in the sense that it has allowed the identification of innovative solutions that have added value to the educational process. Students also prefer hybrid learning, i.e., a combination of traditional classroom learning and online learning via the e-learning platform, which will lead in the future to the adaptation of courses to students' needs. Another conclusion that emerges from the students' requirements is that the e-learning platform is better adapted to the increased demand for easier communication of information and knowledge in electronic format. | Keywords
