AN ARGUMENT FOR THE NEED OF EDUCATION (E-TRAINING) IN THE AREA OF CSDP WITHIN ROMANIAN POLICE ACADEMY Authors: Marinescu Bogdan, NILA STRATONE Mirela Cristiana Volume 2 | DOI: 10.12753/2066-026X-23-067 | Pages: 278-284 | Download PDF | Abstract
The paper tackles, in an objective manner, the main concerns related to the real need of education in the area of Common Security and Defence Policy within the environment of Alexandru Ioan Cuza Police Academy. The general domain of CSDP is one of thru current European and external realities and it concerns both the professionals and Academia. Beyond the fundamental operational role of CSDP, one should tackle this segment from an inclusive perspective, with reference to the research and educational points of view. As such, there is an obvious interest for the impact of the Common Security and Defence Policy related disciplines within the learning curricula of students and cadets from university-ranked institutions dedicated to initial training of future officers. In this regard, Alexandru Ioan Cuza Police Academy is a special case, as it trains not only military (gendarmes & firefighters), but also special-statute functionaries. With regard to current involvement of the tackled institution (implication within the Implementation Group of European College of Defence and Security and other initiatives and projects related to CSDP domain), one can easily notice the importance of the implementation, within the basic curricula of students, of such disciplines. It is obvious that, at current level, a possible environment to be used should be the existing eLearning platform (ILIAS) with some of the existing AKU resources. Current study is meant to provide an argument referring to the utility of e-Training for the students from Romanian Police Academy, as well as the effective means of implementing such discipline(s). | Keywords
