The article presents the importance of information technologies in the teaching of a foreign language, in a multi-level class/group. We will focus on in situ hardware, mobile hardware and software/websites; the place of the group as a vector of a renewed dynamic of learning will be the subject of a specific analysis. We offer exercises and activities for the multimedia laboratory and activities for the multi-level language class in connection with websites, because Information and Communication Technologies for Education (ICTE) make it possible to anticipate, accompany, consolidate and complete a course. We also discuss the project pedagogy which highlights the role of the group, the class as a place of social interaction, adaptation to the personality of the learner, to his needs and to his centers of interest. ICTE are increasingly essential for the teaching/learning of languages in a heterogeneous context. They can bring a lot to the management of the multi-level classroom for both the learner and the teacher.
