Abstract: A new paradigm in the field of education, called "mobile learning", has emerged with the spectacular development of mobile telephony. M-Learning current research focuses on the design of learning models based on mobile devices. The paper aims to appoint technology applied in the classroom both as an active learning tool and a medium for disseminating scientific and educational content. Nowadays, the Smartphone is considered as an educational tool involved in designing and conducting mandatory experiments in the physics program through active learning activities. The proposed objectives consist in experimental determinations of some physical quantities by means of smartphone integrated sensors. We determine the value of the gravitational acceleration and the elastic constant of a spring. A first method involves the use of the magnetic sensor and the second trial relies on the light sensor. Experiments require the installation of the Phyphox application on the smartphone, since it accesses the above-mentioned sensors and allows for external control of experiments on a computer or other mobile device, tablet or other smartphone, by providing a private IP address. The application allows real-time graphical plotting, while also recording experimental data for later export and processing. Raw data study (curve fitting and peak analysis) was then performed in Origin software. | Keywords
